I already mentioned the jacket required dinner I attended last week, but I wanted to show you guys what I decided to wear. I obviously like to dress up on the reg, but whenever an invite states a dress code, then I feel the anxiety to adhere to those guidelines.

“Jacket required” doesn’t mean formal so I had a little leeway when it came to the styling. A lot of dudes would (and did) dig out their go-to black suits from the closet, but I’m completely against that thinking. An occasion is never a reason to let your personal style fall to the wayside. Personally I love mixing bright colors, prints, and patterns so that’s exactly what I did.

I stood out at said dinner, but in a good way, and I did so by being me. Adding your own personal twist can make any outfit (no matter how formal it) a good look.

This “winter” has been a tricky one and as a major hypochondriac I’ve diagnosed myself with SAD. To lift my sprits up, I decided to bring a little West Coast flavor into my life.

Monochromatic dressing can be a major challenge condsidering you can end up looking like you just came from the Crayola factory. Personally I love mixing textures as you can see and letting my accessories pop. (C’mon how can you not love a graphic snapback and mirrored wayfarers?)

Global warming may bringing us weird weather, but don’t let it fool you into thinking it isn’t Winter. (Full disclosure: I have yet to buy a new winter jacket.) That being said I’ve picked out some of the best winter jackets to rock when the temp dips to unbearable numbers so you won’t be caught with your pants down.

1) For the gent who wants to stand out in the sea of black and navy coats. (BUY)

3) What’s a wardrobe without a a parka? This will be your new go to. (BUY)
