If I had a pick a word to describe what I want out of my new year, it’d be: bold. It’s a pretty loaded word that means a couple of different things to me, but I wanted my first blog post of 2017 to carry that message as well. First and foremost, we need to talk about this coat. Ain’t no blending into the background while wearing bright red, bih. With a piece like this there are only two ways to wear it. Either all the time and be known as the dude with “that coat” or once in a blue moon to remind everyone you’re about that life. I’m currently wearing this again today so I might be closer to the former. I’m also incredibly in love with these wide leg trousers. Wasn’t sure how they’d look since I’m on the shorter side but the fit is *kisses hand like a chef*

How do you plan on being bolder in 2017?

Fresh off a weekend in Miami (story for a later day), I’m still rocking floral shirts this summer. For this go around, I decided to go the less casual route. To let the shirt shine on its own,  I paired with some simple navy trousers. Can we talk about these shoes, doe? They’re a dope addition to my closet and help this outfit pop without looking too busy. They might not be everyone’s “thing” I feel like everyone should have a pair of shoes that say “What are those?!” (But in a good way.)

What Your Dad Wants This Father’s Day

what to buy dad for fathers day

If we’re going to be completely honest, we all know that Father’s Day is just another sham holiday much like all of the ones made up by social media managers trying to sell whatever their client told them to. #HappyNationalBoxedLasagnaDay! Don’t get me wrong, your dad totally deserves to be celebrated for raising your probably ungrateful ass. That being said, there are the traditional gifts that every single site will tell you to get, but your dad probably (definitely) wants something else. As a certified dad whisperer (pause), I’ll let you know what things you SHOULD get your dad, but also what he actually wants. Thank me later.
