One of the first fashion week presentations was DKNY Men’s and it a pretty good start to my week. The brand showed of their suiting, sportswear, and contemporary line which all gave different vibes. Suiting reminded me of a Milan man, sportswear reminded me of Rhythm Nation, and the contemporary reminded me of a cool Brooklynite.

Nicola Formichetti’s Debut Thierry Mugler Collection

It is safe to say that everyone has been waiting for the Fall 2011 Thierry Mugler ever since it was told that Lady Gaga‘s stylist, Nicola Formichetti, was heading the design house. the collection is mind blowingly beautiful and avant garde. I didn’t even recognize that a few of my favorite amle models were walking in the show because I was so astounded by the garment. Check out the full collection yourself after the jump. Alexander McQueen Fall 2011 Menswear Collection

I can only find one word to describe this Alexander McQueen collection: sexy. It’s not that cheap sexy of male models frolicking around in their underwear but a take charge, man in uniform kind of sexy. The man in this collection is forceful and wants you to know he is there. The pops of color is absolute perfection. It isn’t as whimsical as many other McQueen collections but I like the change of pace. Check out the full collection after the jump. Continue reading

Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2011 Menswear

This is the first of the many menswear shows that I plan to cover for dM. I had start  of course with one of my favorites, Ferragamo. The color palette goes from a clean white, to a rich chocolate, and a final burst of color with a hue of blue. The line, as always gives the vibe, of the classic Italian  gentleman.
