If we’re keeping 100, I probably wear hoodies all year long. (Yes, including in the summer because I have no idea what chill is or a basic understanding of weather.) I’m sure another site will tell you different, but I think a good hooded sweatshirt is a staple in every dude’s wardrobe, even if he’s not into streetwear. One major tip I can share on this topic is that your regular gym hoodie should NEVER be the same as your outfit hoodie. (That’s just nasty.) You really can’t go wrong with a heather gray piece. It’s classic and much like the one I’m wearing in this post, they can even be hella elevated. (I hate that word btw.) Go ‘head and splurge on a nice hoodie for yourself, it not just for hypebeasts and cozy boys anymore.
Just by looking at Instagram it seems like everyone is going everywhere this summer. Personally, the farthest I’ve been out of the city was a trippy journey to the woods of the Catskills. (That’s a story I will not tell unless I’m 3 tequila-sodas deep.) Whether you’re being fiscally responsible or living the broke boy life, there’s no reason for you not to pop off some fire grams while staying local. (Don’t let all the kids with deep-pocketed parents and sponsors have all the fun.) A couple things you can do to feel like you’re traveling: 1) Venture out and do some local day trips that inexpensive, but you’ve never put real thought into. 2) Wear all those floral shirts before the fall hits. 3) Only drink pina coladas from now until Labor Day. (Actually don’t do that)
I’ll be completely honest with you guys, I lost control of this outfit very quickly. My roommate was getting rid of these incredibly dope pants and I just blacked out and ended up looking like this. That brings me to today’s today topic: everything is fine in the summertime. Crop tops: sure. Sandals & socks: knock yourself out. Wrap around sunglasses: actually don’t do that. I’m spending this season saying yes to more things both style and life wise and I suggest you do the same. Go out and be weird, my friends.
I’m convinced that a good sleek coat can make any outfit look like a million bucks. All winter I searched high and low for the prefect gray topcoat to no avail. That is until I found this this one from Uniqlo’s last capsule collection with Jil Sander hanging in my roommate’s closet. (Hi Corey!) Since we’re still in that weird transitional phase on the east coast you can still pull off the wool coat with a hoodie or sweatshirt. For those warmish days you can throw this over something as simple jeans and a tee. Cue the Kanye sound bite.
