Warby Parker Hipster

As of late I’ve been rocking a less preppy look. The only reason this look has hipster in the title is because this used to be my idea of a “hipster” back when the term was still cool. (Wait was it ever?)

Glasses: Warby Parker
Shirt: Quiksilver
Vest: From HS Costume Closet
Shoes: Thrifted

Unfortunately there’s not a ridiculously amazing story about this outfit. It was a pretty efficient example of summer layering which kept me comfortable and stylish.

My favorite piece of this outfit has definitely got to be my new Warby Parker  glasses. Sunday I gave you the story on how I got them.

Transitioning Into Spring With Ben Minkoff

I think I’ve mentioned a million times on this blog on how hard I find it to transition my Fall/Winter wardrobe into Spring/Summer. I’ve finally made a step in the right direction by saying goodbye to my leather croc bag and welcoming a  brand new Ben Minkoff bag for Spring.

Tee: Quiksilver
Hoodie: Quiksilver
Shoes: DC
Tie Used As Bracelet: Dad’s Closet
Sunglasses: Photographer’s

For the first day of my donning a new bag I decided to outfit myself in a younger and more downtown look. The bag is effortlessly cool and I decided to match that message.

Me & My Photographer Chris Hall

I must admit that I’m kinda in love with my new bag. There are two things that I look for in a bag: 1. Can it fit my entire life in it? (ie: laptop, styling kit, lookbooks, notebooks, spare clothes) and 2. Can it match every outfit combination that my little heart can come up with?  The Sunny Days Waxwear tote definitely checks out on both of these fronts.

Quirky Executive Realness

Random things inspire my blog posts. One of them is staying up late all night and watching my favorite documentary Paris Is Burning. I can’t go into too much detail to spoil it for you but it’s all about dressing like someone else and embracing their characteristics. I decided to embrace the delusional executive in me.

Outfit Details:
Sweater: Pierre Cardin
Pants: Quiksilver
Blazer: Vintage
Ring: DIY

This is not my first post about a Paris Is Burning outfit I felt like that guy in a really professional office who comes off as a tad bit eccentric. The guy who wears greens pants purposefully and doesn’t tuck his tie into his sweater.

My favorite part of my outfit is my DIY three fingered ring that I created with the help of fellow blogger Kirsten Gail of Studs & Pearls. I made it the same day this photo was taken and it is sincerely one of my favorite accessories.
