Sweaters to Cop This Winter

January 4, 2018

mens turtleneck

If you’re based in NYC then you know that today we’ve been hit with a wild disrespectful snow storm today. While I sit in safety of my apartment, I decided to roundup some of my favorite sweaters on the market right because 1) winter is just starting and 2) with all these post holiday sales you can get them for the low.

Turtlenecks - A true flex. Everyone loves neutral tone, but if your skin tone allows I’ve been really into shades of red and green. (And not because of Christmas even though I love Christmas.)

mens varsity sweaterStripes - A staple style. Switch it up by going with thicker stripes and fun colors.

What’s your favorite sweater style this season?

For whatever reason this season has been inundated with ugly sweaters and, even worse looking, themed suits. Who said you have to look like a joke to celebrate the holidays? I, for one, ain’t about that life. If you’re headed to a gathering in the next few days that isn’t formal, I suggest going with a simple sweater and either dark trousers or non-distressed dark denim. (Unless, of course, it’s a hypebeast holiday function.) You don’t have to wear all black like I did, but don’t feel the need to cover yourself in tinsel or whatever if you’re not comfortable with it. I let all the color shine through my statement bomber. Go ahead and give the kids the gift that keeps on giving: flexing uncontrollably.

When it comes to dressing for the holidays I tend to be a no thrills or frill type of guy. I leave that for the rest of the year when I’m not cooped up in the burbs. I am however loving the weather this season because I can still mix all my prints, patterns, and textures without bundling up underneath a heavy coat.

A look like this is perfect for anywhere you’re going this Christmas Eve whether it be a family gathering, dinner, church, a party, or even ordering Chinese food while you watch holiday specials on TV. (I’ll most likely be doing the latter.)
