If I had a pick a word to describe what I want out of my new year, it’d be: bold. It’s a pretty loaded word that means a couple of different things to me, but I wanted my first blog post of 2017 to carry that message as well. First and foremost, we need to talk about this coat. Ain’t no blending into the background while wearing bright red, bih. With a piece like this there are only two ways to wear it. Either all the time and be known as the dude with “that coat” or once in a blue moon to remind everyone you’re about that life. I’m currently wearing this again today so I might be closer to the former. I’m also incredibly in love with these wide leg trousers. Wasn’t sure how they’d look since I’m on the shorter side but the fit is *kisses hand like a chef*

How do you plan on being bolder in 2017?

The Dummies Guide To Minimalism

As I was at my parents house this past weekend going through the winter clothes I dumped there earlier this year, I couldn’t help to notice that the “no pile” starting to greatly outweighed the pile of clothes that would ultimately be coming back with me. And in that moment I thought “Am I becoming a minimalist?” After I slapped myself in the face for the awful Sex and the City voiceover moment, I laughed and realized that I was only in theory. While I’ll always love my prints and mixing every color in the crayon box, I’ve found myself muting my wardrobe more and more. I guess I’m growing up? Idk. Sometimes you just need a sweatshirt and some trousers. No need to use every satorial trick in the book for one look.
