I’ve recently gotten a little flack for “overdoing it” in my outfit posts so this is my attempt at a toned down look. When I’m not in head to toe prints, I love mixing black, whites, and grays. I suppose it’s the New Yorker in me. (That also explains my permanent scowl.)

Sometimes the simplest details can make your outfit. For instance, I based this look around the bright red hues from my tie. I paired them with some matching socks and BOOM you don’t even realize I’m in a simple black and white number.
If you’re the type of guy who needs to be about that shirt and slacks life then don’t hide behind that Brooks Brothers sales rack. A litte detail never hurt anyone. *
Any day that has a hint of Spring is a good one. You know you’ve had a rough Winter when 50 degree weather has people coming out in shorts and sandals. (Note: Those people are awful and need to step it up in general.)
On those nicer days I tend to dream of the West Coast. Being a typical 90′s kid, I associated Cali with graphic tees, mirrored wayfarers and plaid shirts ties around the waist.(Basically what any teenage character wore in a sitcom during that era.)

Yesterday kicked off the mens’ trade show season in NYC. Think of a regular fashion week on Lance Armstrong steroids. I’m talking a million appointments, endless photos, a test of time management, and of course #menswear.
I took it real light the first day and kept my cool (because I certainly wasn’t warm due to the dropping weather) in this ensemble.
