Band tees have always been a favorite of mine ever since my first concert. (*coughs* Fall Out Boy *coughs) I’ve styled them a couple of different ways on this site, but this go around I wanted to really for an authentic classic rock feel. Dark fitted jeans, boots, and a leather jacket are all no brainers to team your tee up with. If you’re really going for it, you have to make sure your accessories are on point. Mixing metals and adding a bandana to my hat isn’t rocket science or new by any means, but going that extra step really helps to pull a fit off.

What is that I feel? Ah yes, the joyous reality the leather weather has arrived. The latest edition to my closet is this moto jacket from Forever 21. What I love about it is that’s: it’s light enough to wear all day, comes at a super affordable price point, and is a good contrast the mass black jackets you’ll see this season. Speaking of color, forget Red October, it’s all about Sepia September and embracing brown hues for fall. As someone who wears a ton of black and white, it’s definitely the next step in neutrals.

[Ed note: I'm VERY aware this look is reminiscent of Indiana Jones.]

When it comes to my favorite things, rocking double denim is right up there with 90′s R&B and making obscure pop culture references. In today’s venture into double denim, I decided to try something different. I found these high waisted vintage Lees at the end of spring and have been plotting my dad jean domination since. The cut is not for everyone (or me in 85% of the angles I posed in), but if you’re a dude with a proportionally small waist you’re gonna be alright. Since we’re still dealing with 80/90 degree temps in the city, I don’t recommend dusting off your heavy duty Canadian tuxedos. Light chambrays still do the job and look badass if you ask me. (Then again I wouldn’t ask me or say “badass” in public so…..nvm)

Everything’s Fine In The Summertime

I’ll be completely honest with you guys, I lost control of this outfit very quickly. My roommate was getting rid of these incredibly dope pants and I just blacked out and ended up looking like this. That brings me to today’s today topic: everything is fine in the summertime. Crop tops: sure. Sandals & socks: knock yourself out. Wrap around sunglasses: actually don’t do that. I’m spending this season saying yes to more things both style and life wise and I suggest you do the same. Go out and be weird, my friends.
