Flashy -There’s nothing wrong being “that guy” on NYE. I’m usually said guy. If you want all eyes on you then I suggest going for a bright suit/tuxedo option and balancing that all that out with a classic white dress shirt. You don’t want to overpower your suit so make sure your accessories are as understated as they are bold statements.
Go all the way by: making your look monochromatic like this from Carlos Campos.

Tee: Alternative Apparel Jeans: Public School, Blazer: H&M, Sneakers: Pierre Hardy, Hat: Gents Co, Chain: King Ice
$wagged Out - If you’re trying to look like a pretty flacko then a black on black ensemble is your only option. A blazer is a must because it dresses up whatever you’re wearing. The key to pulling this off is making sure every piece is sharp in it’s own right. For accessories, think go big or go home.
Go all the way by: opting fo leather pants.

Shirt: Gap, Pants: Superdry, Cardigan: Ben Sherman, Shoes: Ugg, Watch: Fossil, Tie: Calvin Klein
Casual - There’s no reason to not dress up a bit just because you plan on keeping it low key for the night. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be yourself, just be the best version of you. A simple cardigan can replace the go to blazer and the rest of your look can just be what you would normally where to a typical semi-cas (cajze?) event.
Go all the way by: not ending up in a gutter.
